Jamie Foxx has a new reason to lose sleep, and this time it's a happy one. The 58-year-old actor and his girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp, 31, have welcomed their first child together, ABC News confirmed on 5 November, after People first reported the birth through sources a day earlier.
The couple haven't shared the baby's name, sex or birthday yet.
A baby on the way, announced on late-night TV
The news of the pregnancy first came out in May. Foxx confirmed it himself in September on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. “I got a baby on the way… still got it!” he joked. He also told a story about asking Al Pacino, who became a dad again in his 80s, how old he was. Pacino's answer was 84.
Foxx even had a line for Huckstepp about the age gap: he told Kimmel he'd asked her to “just hang in there for 12 years”.

A big family
The baby is Foxx's third child. He has two daughters: Corinne, 32, from his relationship with Connie Kline, and Anelise, 17, with Kristin Grannis.
Foxx and Huckstepp have been linked since 2022. Page Six reported a breakup in January 2025, but the two were seen together again later that year. A source told People simply: “Alyce is a sweetie, a great girl.”
Why this one feels special
In 2023, Foxx had a brain bleed that led to a stroke, and he spent months out of the public eye. He talked about it openly in his October stand-up special, Jamie Foxx: Take Care of Yourself. “Man, I almost died,” he said. People reported that Huckstepp was there for him during that time.
Three years later, he's back on stage, back on screen, and now back to bottles and night feeds. Congratulations to the family.
